“Fun Of The Fair,” Town Hall: Thursday, Friday
On Thursday and Friday evening next the Whangarei Patriotic Amusement Committee are holding another “Fun of the Fair” at the Town Hall, as the previous one held in October last was such a success. Several new and entertaining games have been added to the already popular sideshows, and “Tray Ball” and “Magic Cubes” have been specially invented for the occasion, and will test the skill of enthusiastic patrons. Ice creams and soft drinks will be for sale, and all the games and sideshows will be manned by army personnel, * under the able direction of Sgt. Percy Everett. There will also be a bran tub and novelties for the juveniles, and also a special event for golfers. So don’t forget the dates—Thursday and Friday evenings next at 7 o’clock at the Town Hall. 525
