The following postage rates have been fixed upon for correspondence addressed lu New Zealand and all other soldiers, sailors and airmen of the British Empire on active service:— Betters.—By surface transport: The inland letter rate (2d for the firs: oz. and Id for each succeeding Yaoz) will apply. Newspapers.—The British Empire rale 1 V'>d for each 3ozs.) will apply. Parcels.—Parcels not more than 31b. in Weight, 1/-. Parcels not more than 71b. in weight (maximum). 2/-. Mails for delivery by local postmen close at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Registered and parcel mails close one hour before ordinary mails. There is no despatch of mails on Sundays and holidays.
