The Philips Miller tape recorder, imported from Holland and ihe only one of its kind in Australia, was badly damaged. Malta.—Malta had its 4000th alert tonight. One enemy bomber was destroyed during a sharp raid.
Shot. —Morocco radio has announced that six Axis snies were shot at Constantine yesterda’y. West Indies. —The "New York Times” Venezuela correspondent states that Nazi submarines are reported to have shelled and torpedoed installations at Curacao last week. The damage is unknown.
Sabotage.—An independent Belgian news agency message reports that saboteurs blew up Walcourt railway station, after which the Germans seized 30 hostages, confiscated 200 radio sets and forced Walcourt residents to guard the railway station.
