N.Z. Duntroon Cadet Wins Double Honour

WELLINGTON, This Day.

“Advice has been received that Lieutenant B. A. Andrews, one of the New Zealand cadets who this year com.pleted a two years’ course of instruction at the Royal Military College, Duntroon, has gained the double distinction of winning the King’s Medal for the cadet passing out highest in his year and the Sword of Honour for exemplary conduct and performance of duties,” said the Minister for Defence (Mr. Jones) today.

“The Sword of Honour has been won by New Zealanders on several previous occasions, but this is the first time that a New Zealand cadet has received the dual award and it is a meritorious performance.”

Lieutenant Andrews is a son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Andrews, Auckland.
