Received 12.30 p.m.) (8.0. W.) RUGBY, Dec. 17.
Answering a question in the House of Commons on the production of divebombers in the United States for the R.A.F., the Air Minister (Sir Archibald Sinclair) said that though since they were ordered operational conditions had changed. Nevertheless, the sir staff hoped to find good use for dive-bombers.
Recent operations had increasingly shown the advantages possessed by fighter-bombers and light bombei's over-dive-bombers. Fighter-bombers had been very effective in operations.
