Message From Home Inspiration For N.Z.E.F.
(P.A.t WELLINGTON. This Day. The Prime Minister (Mr Fraser), has received from General Freyberg the following message in reply to a resolution passed by the House of Parliament paying tribute to the services of the New Zealand fighting forces and the Merchant Navy:—
“All ranks of the Second N.Z.E.F. read with pride of the resolution of the House of Representatives. The whole-hcarted support of the Government and people of New Zealand has ■always been oi the greatest encouragement to the N.Z.E.F. in the Middle East.
“Your message, which is published as a special order on the eve of a possible renewal of the fighting here, is an inspiration to us all."
