Low Mortality Rate Among U.S. Wounded
WASHINGTON, December 16
Rear-Admiral Chambers, of the Navy Medical Corps, who has returned from the South Pacific has, reported that the mortality rate of the wounded evacuated from the Solomons to a mobile hospital, remains below normal expectancy, largely due to speedy evacuation, to fully staffed and wellequipped hospitals, sulfa drugs, blood plasma, tetanus toxoid and efficient doctors.
