The death is reported from Christchurch of Mr. Henry Dyke Acland. From 1923 until the time of his death he had been a member of the Senate of the New Zealand University. Mr. Acland had been president of the New Zealand Sheepowners’ Federation from 1909, a member of the New Zealand Meat Board for many years, and a member for some years of the Christchurch City Council, as well as having been chairman of the Railways Board in 1924.
