Personnel Of Commission
(Special) WELLINGTON, This Day. A Gazette notice issued today announces the appointment of the Economic Stabilisation Commission. The members appointed are: Messrs. A. T. Donnelly (chairman), F. D. Cornwell, A. McLagan, W. Marshall, C. V. Smith and F. P. Walsh. They have been members of the Economic Stabilisation Committee whose inspiring efforts over many months hayc made possible the major development in economic stabilisation announced by the Prime Minister last night, said the Minister in Charge of Stabilisation (Mr. Sullivan). , , . Mr. Sullivan also announced that Mr. E C. Ashwin, Secretary to the Treasury, Financial Adviser to the Government, has been appointed Director of Stabilisation. Mr. Donnelly is chairman of the Bank of New Zealand: Mr. Cornwell is secretary of the Federation of Labour; Mr. McLagan is Minister for Industrial Manpower; Mr. Marshall is chairman of directors the New Zealand Co-ooerativc Dairy Company; Mr. Smith is president of the New Zealand Manufacturers' Association; and Mr. Walsh is national president or the Federated Seamen's LTnion of New Zealand.
