Fighting In China
(Received 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 14
A Chungking communique says the Japanese suffered 500 casualties in Chekisng. Several light Japanese vessels- were, sunk on August 7. when the enemy tried to cross the Wu River, south of Tsingtien. There were 300 casualties in a clash north of Lungyv.
