Mr. Sholto Mcßae
Widespread regret is felt at the sudden passing away of Mr Sholtc Mcßae, whose death occurred at the home at Taipuha on Friday last. Mr Mcßae had visited Whangarei on the previous day (Thursday), and was found dead in his bed on the Friday morning.
Ecrn at Mareretu, deceased was the third son of Mr and Mrs A. M. McRae and had reached the age of 52 years. He was educated at the district school, and his young life was spent assisting on the farm and in other work in the settlement. Later, he partly followed the occupation of carpenter, acquiring considerable skill at the trade. More recently, he had been assisting his brother Fergus on the farm at Taipuha. Quiet and unassuming in disposition, his life was marked by industry, uprightness and kindness.
Mr Mcßae, who was unmarried, is survived by his parents, and the following brothers and sisters: Messrs Murdoch Mcßae (Taumarunui), Roderick (Manunui), Fergus (Taipuha). Malcolm (Whangarei) and George (Kaukapakapa)', Mrs O. Hughes (Whangarei) and Nurse Jean Mcßae (on the staff of the Te Kopuru hospital).
