MINUS PYJAMAS
(Special.) KAITAIA, This Day. What might have appeared to he a rather general habit in the Far North of sleeping without pyjamas was disclosed during a recent court case at Kaitaia.
Of four men found in a hotel bar on a Sunday, and claiming to be bona fide lodgers, none had pyjamas, tooth brushes or shaving gear. One said in evidence that he never wore pyjamas and another that he wore them only sometimes.
This rather odd state of affairs was considered by the magistrate to be due to lack of bona ftdes rather than to a lack of appreciation of bedtime comfort and personal hygiene, or the introduction of the coupon system.
