Hun Barbarism In Czech Mining Village
(Rec. 2 p.m.) LONDON, June 10. Prague radio announced that the entire male population of the village of Lidice (population 1200), near Kladno, a Czech coalmining centre, was shot on suspicion of harbouring the murderers of Heydrich. Women were deported to a concentration camp and children sent to educational centres. All buildings were razed. The villagers also allegedly had an illegal arms dump, a radio transmitter and large quantities of anti-German propaganda.
