Abuse Of Rubbish Dump
“The dump was cleared only three months ago, but no one can get inside the gate to dump rubbish now.’’ stated the Kaitaia Town Board foreman at the monthly meeting on Wednesday. “Instead of dumping well back, the stuff has been put just anywhere, and how there is not a clear path for vehicles to get in.”
“You certainly could not get a car inrffjj said Cmr. Quilter. “There are too marry broken bottles and glass about." The board decided to accept the offer of the use of a bulldozer to clear the whole dump again, and instructed. the secretary to’ notify all users of the dump that they must keep a track clear of refuse.
“Once it is clear, we will put up a notice.’’,, said the acting-chairman (Mr. D. Archibald, snr.). ‘‘Then prosecution > Will follow any abuse.”
