Babe Ruth, ex-home-run “king” of the Yankee baseball team, was sent to hospital in a serious condition suffering from pneumonia. Ruth was in Hollywood working on a motion picture playing his own role as a famous home-run “king” in “Pride of the Yankees.” The story is based on the life of the late Lou Gehrig, another great Yankee, A studio spokesman said Ruth had worked extremely hard in his movie role.
