Several control notices affecting the use of iron, steel, machine tools and engineering equipment and leather, appear in last night’s Gazette. In the first-mentioned order the use of iron, on steel for number of purposes unrelated! to war production is prohibited, whilcr c'.vners of machine,tools and engineering equipment suitable for war production are required to make a declaration of the same to the Factory Controller or Munitions Controller.

The leather control notice prohibits the use of ox and cow chrome tan hides for any purpose other than the manufacture of footwear.
