Rail Jigger Fatality

HUNTLY, This Day
A railway surfaceman returning home on a jigger after work was killed at Rangiriri shortly after 5 o’clock last evening, when he was struck by the Auckland-Wellington express. The victim was:—
Mr Francis ’ James Peacbey, aged 3(3, married, of Rangiriri.
Mr Peachey had been working on the permanent way about half-a-mile north of the Rangiriri station and was overtaken by the train after it had just come through a cutting near a bend in the line. Mr Peachey is survived by his wife and one child.
