Wave Of Sabotage In Belgium, Norway
(Rec. 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 23 A fresh wave of sabotage is reported. Some buildings in Brussels were recently dynamited and damaged. Three power plants in Belgium were also damaged the same night by a series of explosions.
The Nazi commander announced that if the culprits were not found before Christmas Day a number of Belgians already imprisoned for sabotage will be shot.
Copenhagen radio reported that a Copenhagen chemical store blew •up after an outbreak of fire. The damage is estimated at 1,500,000 kroner. The police blame saboteurs.
A Stockholm report states that the Germans have fined the city of Stavanger in Norway 2,000,000 kroner and confiscated all radios because of continuous telephone sabotage. The Germans have reinforced the garrison at Stavanger and proclaimed a state of emergency.
