Four N.Z. Journalists To Tour Britain
[Per Press Association. —Copyright] WELLINGTON, This Day The Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) stated today that a party of New Zealand journalists would visit Great Britain on the invitation of the Minister for Information (Mr. Brendan Bracken). All arrangements had now been completed and the Government had readily accepted Mr. Bracken’s suggestion that the visit should take place in the English spring. The invitation was conveyed to Mr. Fraser during his visit to Britain and the New' Zealand organisations concerned were invited to nominate representative Pressmen. The Newspaper Proprietors’ Association will be represented by Mr. E. V. Dumbleton, of the “Auckland Star,” and Mr. W. A. Whitlock, of the “Hawke's Bay Herald-Tribune,” and the New Zealand Journalists’ Association by Mr. A. A. Hardcastle, its president, editor of the “Standard” (Mr. W. J. Green) will also be a member of the delegation. “The city and provincial editorial staffs, reporting, interests and Labour journalism will be ably and fully represented by this selection,” said Mr. Fraser.
