THIRD ARMY IN MIDDLE EAST
LONDON, November 17. A new army has been formed in the Western Desert. It is called the Bth Army. This news has been warmly welcomed in Egypt as an indication of Britain’s growing strength in the Middle East and her ability to equip these forces. The formation of the Bth Army in the Western Desert signifies the growth of British power in the Middle East. Recently the forces were divided into two armies—one in Egypt and one in Palestine and Syria; now the army in Egypt has been further divided into the Nile and Western Desert armies.
