Ohaeawai Next-Of-Kin Association
! A meeting convened by Mr. McKoy was 1 held at the Soldiers’ Club, Ohaeawai, on Wednesday. November 12, to establish a i local branch of the recently inaugurated ; Next-of-Kin Association, j There was a large and representative i gathering, and Mr. McKoy’s explanation i of the objects of the association was lis- ' lened to with great interest. The need i for such an organisation was stressed by various speakers, and an Ohaeawai i branch was formed with representatives ! from the Waimate, Te Ahu Ahu and ’ Ngawha districts to be added. A request i is also' to be made to the local branch of the R.S.A. to send representatives to the meetings. ! A hearty vote of thanks to Mr. McKoy 1 for his efforts on behalf of the soldiers ; and their next-of-kin brought the pro- ‘ ceedings to a close. ! The following officers were elected:— ! President. Mr. Sullivan: vice-presidents, Mrs. Sullivan, Mr. R. Bindon, Mrs. Loasby, i Mr. M. Philips, Mrs. L. Atkinson, Mr. 1 Miller; secretary and treasurer, Mrs.. S. j ,T. Brown; committee, Mr. K. R.
