Bad Condition Of Church Rd. Bridge

[Special to “Northern Advocate''] KAITAIA, This Day. The Church Road bridge was the Public Works Department’s responsibility, stated Mr. D. Archibald, sm\, when the state of the bridge was being discussed by the Kaitaia Town Board at its monthly meeting on Wednesday. “But if the bridge becomes unsafe we cannot sit back and do nothing,” said Mr. L. G. Thompson. “Church Road is too much used for' that.” The chairman (Mr. J. T. B. Taaffe): I feel that it is a case of the banks of the bridge slipping away and it is our duty to advise the department. It was decided that the secretary should communicate with the Public Works Department, pointing out the condition of the bridge.
