Munitions Ships For Egypt Arrive Daily
NEW YORK, July 13,
War materials from the United States are flowing into Egypt in a steady stream, with ships arriving at the rate of one a day. The Cairo correspondent of the “New York Herald-Tribune” says the breathing space which Hitler has provided is being used literally to multiply the power at the disposal of the armies guarding the Middle East.
British and American ships are unloading war supplies 24 hours every day. The “New York Times” Cairo correspondent says military observers in the Middle East, while praising the Russian stand, believe the Soviet can only delay the German march, and thus mibtary leaders expect that Germany will launch a new sweep towards Egypt, and perhaps also towards India in the near future.
