t Corporal W. Dyer, of Paponga, is spending his leave with his parents, | Mr. and Mrs. J. Dyer. I Mr. Jim McGath. Jnr., is holidaying in Auckland. I Mrs. J. Duncan and Miss Holly left on j Saturday for Auckland. ! Mrs. W. W. Mackenzie and family have ' returned to Broadwood. Mr. and Mrs. James Mackenzie have received word frem their son, Pte. Bill Mackenzie, stating that he has come safely through both the Greek and Crete evacuations, and is now in Palestine. No word had been received from him since March 5, so his letter was a great relief to both his family and friends. A bulldozer, being used to put a road into the back of Mr. A. Gregory’s farm, is causing a great deal of interest in the i district. A road is. also to be made to the i tep of Cemetery -Mil. This is a long-felt i want and will be appreciated by the residents.
