Mulled Ale At Cascade Brewery

The Cascade Brewery. Taihape, one of the most modern in New Zealand, was severely damaged by fire at 4.30 yesterdiv morning.
The outbreak originated in tire malt room and gained a strong hold. Although handicapped at first by a poor water pleasure, the fire brigade eventually gained control. The malt room was gutted, and other rooms also suffered to a lesser extent.
A cinai.tity of malt was lost, and damage was done to machinery and electrical installations, but no beer was lost. The office portion of the building was not affected by the fire.
