Restricted Business On Auckland ’Change
[Special to “Northern Advocate”] AUCKLAND, This Day. Business was again restricted on the Auckland Stock Exchange today, with no defined tendency. Bank of New Zealands are easier on last week’s levels, bui on the other hand South British Insurances are particularly strong. A steady but unsatisfied demand for Government loans continues. Reflecting the lighting restrictions. Claude Neons had their first business since January today at a fall of 4/6 to 15/-. A Sales completed at the noon call today were: Australian Iron and Steel (preference), £ 1/6/7 (<>; New Zealand Insurance, £3/2/6; Auckland Gas, perpetual debenture stock, £95/10/-.
