Walter Wakelin, Ltd., report a successful sale at Ruakaka yesterday when a good entry of cattle met with a ready market from a medium attendance of buyers.
Good quality dairy cows, to calve June, July and August, sold from £5/10/- to £7; inferior cows, £2/10/- to £4/5/-; good quality Jersey heifers, £5/10/- to £7; fat cows, £5 to £7/10/-: two and a half year steers, to £6; 18-months Shorthorn steers, to £5; small Jersey heifer calves, to £2; heavy boner cows, £3/6/- to £4; medium boner cows, £3 to £3/8/-; light boners, £l/11/- to £2/15/-; store pigs, to £l/5/-; slips, to 12/-; breeding sows, £2/10/- to £3/5/-; weaners, to 10/-.
