German Aircraft Attacked At Aleppo
(Rec. 12 Noon). RUGBY, May 25. Yesterday R.A.F. bombers carried out an attack on a number of German aircraft on the aerdrome at Aleppo, Syria. One was destroyed and many others damaged.
A bomb which made a direct hit on a hangar caused a number of explosions.
R.A.F. aircraft bombed insurgent positions at Qurnet Ali, Iraq, and obtained direct hits on roads and trenches.
Rebel motor transport was attacked cn the roads in the Habbaniyah area yesterday on two occasions. Enemy aircraft machine-gunned the cantonment at Habbaniyah, but only negligible damage was caused. Rats Leave -Sinking Ship
It is learned in London that the Iraq Minister for Finance (Naji Suwaidi), who reached Iran some days ago allegedly on official business, brought hi's family with him. Moreover, it is understood that the Minister for Communications and works (Mohammed Ali Mahmud) has now also reached Iran with his family.
