More Hesitant Tone On Auckland 'Change
AUCKLAND, This Day. There was a much more hesitant tone when the new week’s business was inaugurated on the Auckland Stock Exchange this morning. „ ~ As usual at the opening call, limits were wider, but generally speaking values were firm on closing rates. National Banks of New Zealand weakened further in a reported sale at £l/14/-. Buyers for Taranaki Oilfields lifted their offers to 3/-, with holders now 1/- away. Sales completed at the noon call today were: M.K. Manufacturers. 5/3; BoothMacDonald, 1/6/47, 5 per cent, £80; stock, 15/5/49-52. 4 per cent, £lO4/5/-.
