London Can Give As Well As Take
LONDON, May 25. At the close of banking hours at noon on Saturday, London’s War Weapons Week figure stood at £108,732,000. No further figures will be issued until the final result is disclosed by the Fresident of the National Savings Committee (Lord Kindersley) when he broadcasts on Monday evening. The final figure is not likely to be less than £120,000,000. The Lord Mayor’s Distress Fund now stands at £2,630,000. During the week £23,000 was received.
