Enemy Troopship, Tanker, Destroyer Sunk Off Libya

(Rec. 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY. May 23. An Admiralty communique states that a troopship of about 9000 tons and a tanker of about 7000 tons were sunk by our submarines off Libya. An Italian destroyer was hit by a torpedo, and it is considered probable that she was sunk.

A large schooner of the type used for ammunition carrying was also sunk, and a somewhat smaller schooner was shelled while at anchor and hit several times.
