The death is reported from London of Lord Austin, chairman of Austin Motors.
Miss Vera Hirons, secretary of the Y.W.C.A. at Palmerston North, who has been attending the convention at Auckland, is paying a brief visit to her parents in Whangarei. Miss A. M. Blakey, the local secretary of the Y.W.C.A., returned to Whangarei last evening after having been at the convention in Auckland for the past week.
