Tiie Acting-Prime Minister (Mr. Nash) said yesterday that he had spent the morning in close consultation with the Prime Minister of Australia (Mr. Menzies) and the New Zealand Minister for Supply (Mr. Sullivan). “We discussed a hundred different subjects,” Mr. Nash said. He added that certain decisions had been reached, but he was not prepared at this stage to make details public. The hope that the discussions would result in benefits to both Australia and New Zealand was expressed by Mr. Nash. He said that an extremely wide field had been covered, including. defence, wartime production, the best use of the two countries’ resources for their common interests, close co-operation in general, and many aspects of trade.
