Auckland Defeats Canterbury

[Special to “Northern Advocate”] AUCKLAND, This Day.
Auckland today defeated Canterbury by 5 goals to 2 in. the fourth round of the men’s section of I,he N.Z. university hockey tournament. The match had an important bearing on the tournament, victory for Auckland meaning virtual possession of the Seddon stick, whereas Canterbury had no chance of winning the tournament.
