Death Of Centenarian
[Per Press Association.—Copyright! GREYMOUTH. This Day. Mrs Mary Ann Jacobs, who attained her 100th birthday on February 18 last, died at her home in Cobden this morning. A resident of the Isle of Wight, she arrived in Nelson with her husband and four children on the vessel Adamant after a voyage of 93 days. They arrived in Greymouth in 1874, and took up land at Omoto, where deceased lived for 64 years before removing to Cobden.,.
Mrs Jacobs’s husband died in 1922. Of a family of 10. one daughter and three sons survive.
