BY 42 VOTES TO 22, THE AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL CONFERENCE OF THE FARMERS’ UNION, WHICH IS SITTING AT AUCKLAND, EXPRESSED THE OPINION THAT IT SHOULD BE MADE COMPULSORY FOR ALL ELIGIBLE MEN TO JOIN THE HOME GUARD.
