Dairy Cattle Sell Well At Kamo

Walter Wakelin, Ltd., report a very successful sale at their weekly fixture at Kamo on Wednesday. Dairy cattle, close to profit, sold under keen competition as did a large entry of boner cattle. Beef and store cattle also met with a ready sale.

In the pig section a full entry of fats and stores came forward. Fat pigs were in keen demand, while stores and weaners were not as , keenly sought as at the previous sale. Breeding sows sold particularly well for this time of the year. ,

Dairy Cattle. —Dairy cows close to profit sold from £7 to £10; Jersey and Jersey cross cows to calve June and July sold from £5/10/ to £7/10/; August and September calvers, £3/10/ to £6/10/; Jersey heifers close to profit, £6/5/ to £B/5/;. Jersey heifers r.w.b., £3/15/ to £5/10/; cows and heifers in milk, £5 to £7/5/. Beef and Store Cattle. Light fat steers, to £10; fat cows, £5 to £7/15/; fat .heifers, £5 to £6/15/; cows and runners, £6/4/ to £8; heavy boner cows, £3/10/ to' £4/4/; medium boners, £3/8/ to £3/13/; light boners, £2/5/ to £3/6/; Jersey heifer calves. £2 to £2/8/; Shorthorn heifer calves, £l/14/ to £l/17/; P.A. steer calves, £2/17/; empty 2-year Jersey heifers, to £2/17/6.
