Open Challenge To Axis, Japs Foresee
(Received 12.30 p.m.) TOKIO, January 13,
President Roosevelt’s Bill to increase aid to Britain is tantamount to an open challenge to the Axis, declares the newspaper “Yomiuri Shimbun,” which urges the Axis to take all precautionary measures against eventualities.
The “Kokumin Shimbun” says: “Japan must build the largest fleet in the world and organise the largest army on earth,, including a mechanised force, in order to be ready to engage in a two or three-front war.”
