As the ship on which he was serving is possibly lost, Leading Seaman W. D. Maud, of Auckland, must be considered lost.
Official advice to that effect was received today by Mr Ernest Maud, ot 116 Ladies’ Mile, Remuer.a, father ot Leading Seaman Maud. The notification states that at present, there is insufficient evidence to determine whether he is a prisoner of war.
