Investigation Of North Enemy Aliens
Preliminary investigations concerning enemy aliens in Northland are now being made. Twenty-nine enemy aliens in the territory are registered. A tour of Northland centres, including Dargaville, Kaikohe . and Kaeo, is shortly to t>e undertaken by the recently-appointed Aliens Authority in the North, Mr D. L. Ross, of Whangarei. • '
At the conclusion of the tour of investigation, Mr Ross will classify the aliens, and, if necessary, cite some of them to attend a hearing. Appropriate recommendations will then be made to the Minister for Justice (Mr Mason) regarding what steps should be taken in the national interest.
