Watch Tower Pamphlets Distributed
[Per Press Association. Copyright.] NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. Pamphlets published by the Watch , Tower Bible and Tract Society, which, with Jehovah’s Witnesses, was recent- • ly declared an illegal organisation, were distributed at Hawera •on Saturday night. A man who was arrested and detained is to appear before the court. A resident who found a pamphlet when he returned home observed a man enter several properties. He advised the police, and after a short search the man was accosted and taken to the police station. A large number of pamphlets and other materials associated with the activities of Jehovah’s Witnesses were later removed from a car standing in the street.
