Man Believed Browed Using Crayfish Pot
[Special to “Northern Advocate”] HAMILTON, This Day. One man of a party of four Frankton residents who went fishing from Raglan yesterday is believed to. have been drowned. He was:— Mr Charles Kelvin Manson, aged 30, married, railway clerk, of Taniwha Street, Frankton.
With Messrs M. E. Harris, P. J. Faulkner and A. R. Blackburn, all railway clerks, they left by car for a fishing expedition. Mr Manson took a crayfish pot and went to a rocky ledge 100 yards from his companions and out of their sight. After about half-an-hour his friends looked for him. They found his lunch? box and a rabbit which he had taken with him, but he had disappeared. The ledge stands 15 feet above seaievel, and was exposed .to a strong easterly wind. It is presumed that Mr Manson lost his balance and fell Into the sea.
