Big Jump In Exchequer Revenue
[British Official Wireless] RUGBY. August 14. Exchequer returns show the total ordinary revenue for the period April 1 to August 10 at £327.593,399. compared with the total in a similar period last year of £244,521.842. Total expenditure is £1.118,016.333 for the period under review, compared with £389,236,484 last year.
Total revenue derived from income tax increased over the equivalent period last year from £37,910.000 to £68,336,000.
