Mr Parsons is in hospital for observation. Mr R. Thompson replaces Mr }.. Boyd as headmaster at the Hikurangi School. Mr Boyd has been transferred to Eranktom Mr R. Nesbitt. Hikurangi Town Board chairman, was appointed by the board to attend any meetings in Whaogarei relative to the Emergency Brel' aut ions Scneme. Mr Dos Codling on Saturday was the recipient of a presentation when residents of Warn gathered at ihe home of Mrs Codling. In making the presentation of n fountain pen. Mr B. Buchanan wished Mr Codling the best of luck and a safe return from the battlegrounds of Europe. Mr F T. Reed, inspector of post oftices. accompanied by his wife and two daughters, paid a flying visit, to bis sister. Mrs J. Kerr. Miss Joan Harnett returned to Howiek after spending three weeks’ holiday in Hikurangi.
