All-Round Improvement At Frankton

[Special to "Northern Advocate.”] HAMILTON, This Day. At the Frankton stock sale yesterday values for fat sheep showed an allround improvement. Prime quality wethers made up to 35/9, while bidding for ewe mutton was also very keen. Heavy prime bullocks made up to £l3 5/-. In the pig section, bidding was keen, and late rates were maintained. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., reports: Prime cows, £6l/- to £7 12/-; prime heifers, £7 10/- to £8; fat Jersey cows, £5 5/- to £5 12/6; vealers, £3 4/- to £3 14/-; boner cows, £2 10/to £4 19/-; store Shorthorn steers, £6 10/- to £7; yearling Shorthorn steers, £3; potter bulls, £6 12/6 to £7. prime two-tooth wethers, 35/9; others, 23/- to 33/6; ewes, 18/- to 24/-; prime lambs, to 29/6; others, 16/3 to 24/-; medium store lambs, 12/9. Baconers, £3 18/- to £4. 14/-; porkers, £2 2/- to £2 18/-; buttermilk pigs, to £3 5/-; stores, 18/- to 25/-; weaners, 12/- to 15/-; slips, 7/6 to 9/6.
