Bay County Chairman Re-Elected
[Special to “Northern Advocate’’] KAWAKAWA, This Day. The Bay of Islands County Council held its annual meeting on Wednesday in the Kawakawa Council Chambers. The following were present: Crs. H. T. Atkinson (chairman), H. T. Bates, S. W. Smith, J. Hay, C. F. Reed, J. T. McKeown, D. Rintoul, G. H. McKenzie, H. M. Cookson. The honorarium for Mr Atkinson (re-elected county chairman) was fixed at £IOO per annum, and the engineer’s salary was raised from £425 to £450, but the other salaries are to remain the same ,as previously. Officers elected for the finance committee are: The s chairman and Crs. S. W. Smith, G. H. McKenzie and J. T. McKeown.
