Awarua, Delayed By Bad Weather, Left Today
!Special to "Northern Advocate'] AUCKLAND, This Day. After being delayed for 24 hours owing to unfavourable weather, the flyingboat Aw.arua, commanded by Captain J. W. Burgess, left Auckland shortly after 6 o'clock this morning for Sydney. Nine passengers were carried. They were: Mr F. A. Abbott, Mrs J. H. Barden, Mr J. W. B. Cornes. Mr C. C. IT. Gibbons, Dr. and Mrs H. Hardwick-Smith, Mr J. J. A. Howie, Mr J. T. Ralph and Mrs E. B. Wood. A total of 5001 b. of mail was taken, consisting of about 20,000 letters.
