No Nursery, But Wants frees
A letter from the North Auckland Forest Society offering young trees to the Hikurangi Town Board was received at the board meeting this week. The trees, which had been grown from seed by Northland school children, were still very small and the letter indicated they would need hardening in a nursery before planting out. Appreciation of the offer was expressed by members of the Town Beard, which would like to accept the trees.
However, the board has no nursery available.
The town clerk was instructed to contact the Forest Society to ascertain if there are any trees available suitable for the board to plant out without. nursery care.
