Increased Interest Yesterday
Increased interest An recruiting was shown in Northland country districts yesterday, the low average of recent weeks being exceeded. A total of five recruits for reinforcements for the Second Expeditionary Force came forward. Enlistments were: M. C. Astley (Dargaville), R. Cotter (Tangowahine), M. S. Podevin (Helensville), G. C. Hoskin (Kaitaia), F. Parker (Kaitaia). Average enlistments for the Maori Battalion came forward, three being received, as follows: . - J. W. Renata (Kaeo), T. W. Hamihana (Pangaru), T. Penehio (Waipu).
