Outdoor Drama Is Regent’s Star Attraction

The conflict between duty to his fellowmen and gratification of a personal desire, presents a difficult problem for George O’Brien in his latest outdoor drama, “The Marshal of Mesa City,” which opened a two-night season at the Regent Theatre last night. Co-starring with George O’Brien is Virginia Vale. The dream of a peaceful retirement fades into insignificance when O’Brien is commissioned as marshal of the mushroom town of Mesa City whose marshal is killed by an outlaw. How he brings about the apprehension of the murderer, makes the film one of O’Brien’s most exciting to date. Featuring Stuart Erwin and Marjorie Weaver, “The Honeymoon’s Over” is .a human-interest comedy, that forms the second leg of the Regent’s double-feature programme. Romance in an office is a very different thing to love in a cottage—with a mortgage due. But in showing the difference ‘The Honeymoon’s Over” provides splendid entertainment and laughs galore.
